Your registry with MyRegistry.com remains active for as long as you want it to.
As the months (or even years) pass, continue to add gifts as often as you like for every event in your child's life, whether it's her first birthday party or his Christening.
You can also change the information on your registry, such as the sizes of items you want, as your child grows.

How do I get my own registry?
